Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to restaurant reservation assistance services provided by Call Japan.

1. Call Japan Service Fee

Call Japan charges JPY 1,000 per restaurant reservation request. One payment covers reservation assistance for one restaurant only.

The service fee is payment for Call Japan’s reservation assistance and efforts to contact the selected restaurant. It is not a restaurant deposit, meal payment, or guarantee of a successful reservation.

2. Cancellation Before We Contact the Restaurant

If you cancel your request before Call Japan begins contacting the restaurant, you may receive a full refund of the Call Japan service fee. Please contact us as soon as possible at support@call-japan.com. We will determine eligibility based on whether work on contacting the restaurant has already begun.

3. After We Begin Contacting the Restaurant

Once Call Japan has begun contacting the selected restaurant, the Call Japan service fee is generally non-refundable. This applies even if the restaurant is fully booked, the requested date/time is unavailable, the restaurant declines or does not accept the reservation, the restaurant cannot be reached after reasonable attempts, the restaurant has closed or changed its operating schedule, or incorrect/incomplete customer information prevents completion.

This is because the Call Japan service fee covers the reservation assistance itself rather than the successful outcome of the reservation.

4. If Call Japan Cannot Provide the Service

If Call Japan is unable to perform the reservation assistance due to circumstances on our side before reasonable attempts to contact the restaurant have been made, we may provide a full refund of the Call Japan service fee.

5. Restaurant Cancellation Fees and Other Charges

Restaurants may have their own cancellation, late cancellation, no-show, deposit, course, or other payment policies. These charges are determined by the restaurant and are separate from the Call Japan service fee. Customers are responsible for any fees or charges imposed by the restaurant.

Call Japan does not pay restaurant cancellation fees, deposits, meal charges, or other restaurant charges on behalf of customers unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

6. Changes or Cancellations of Confirmed Reservations

If you would like to change or cancel a confirmed reservation, please contact Call Japan as soon as possible. If Call Japan needs to contact the restaurant again on your behalf, an additional Call Japan service fee may apply. If an additional service fee applies, we will inform you before beginning the additional paid assistance.

7. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method whenever possible. The time required for the refund to appear may vary depending on the payment provider, card issuer, or financial institution.
